Applications are invited from suitably qualified professionals to resource the role of Business Development Officer - JAMDEX®, Communications Department

Reporting to the Head, External Communications, Communications Department, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

SALES - Strengthen JAM-DEX® Adoption

  1. Driving target achievement for merchant and individual user adoption of JAMDEX® as a means of payment by:
    • Guiding direct reports (including the Street Team) to meet targets set in collaboration with Management.
    • Evaluating and optimizing the Street Team’s performance to achieve targets.
    • Identifying opportunities and business leads that will facilitate adoption of JAMDEX® and strategizing and executing plans to capitalize on these leads and opportunities including managing events relating to JAMDEX®
    • Developing and executing strategies to incentivize adoption of JAMDEX® by merchants and end users which are beneficial to all parties involved.
  2. Expanding the JAMDEX® ecosystem to support merchant acceptance  and use of JAMDEX®.
  3. Determining targeted marketing campaigns to support adoption efforts, collaborating with Operations Lead in this regard to develop the relevant marketing strategies based on feedback and insights garnered from face-to-face customer interactions.
  4. Boosting the usage of JAMDEX® amongst current users, both merchants and individuals by determining the most effective strategies to ensure the conversion of individuals and merchants as JAMDEX® users.

OPERATIONS

  1. Managing the partnerships created with merchants and individual users to ensure that customer retention and anticipitated customer needs are met in conjuction with the Wallet Provider (National Commercial Bank).
  2. Improving Customer Experience Management by identifing issues, providing resolutions when issues arise, seek opportunities to develop and execute strategies to improve customer experience.
  3. Providing oversight of customer contact centre - including preparing FAQs, script to guide operators.
  4. Assisting to develop appropriate campaigns aimed at boosting the conversion of individual users and merchants as JAMDEX® users and assist with the implementation of campaigns in new and traditional media, in collaboration with Social Media Specialist.  
  5. Documenting processes relating to the role of the Unit, identifying areas to be improved or issues in current processes and participating in  implementation of improvements agreed with Management.
  6. Providing  monthly content calendars for new and traditional media, feedback from social media channels, log complaints/issues from customer contact centre.
  7. Making presentations to the CBDC Oversight Committee and CBDC Steering Committee to include: status reports, recommendations on the most effective methods of onboarding merchants and engaging end users of JAMDEX®.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

Undergraduate Degree in Marketing, Communication, Business Administration/Financial Management or Economics to understand complex and multi-level business lending dynamics with at least four (4) years working experience in business development, strategic partnership management or business-to-business sales, two (2) years supervisory experience.
